(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique Stengel & Co. postcard from the 1900s. It shows the painting "Jesus, Saint John, & Two Angels" by master painter Peter Paul Rubens.
"PETER PAUL RUBENS, born 28th June 1577 at Siegen died 30th of May 1640 at Antwerp. Disciple of Verhaegt, A van Noort and Otto van Veen. He was in Italy from 1600 - 1608 as Painter at the Court of the Duke of Mantova. Since 1608 he was mainly established at Antwerp, but travelled much in France, Spain and England. He is the Universal Master with whom begins a new aera of Northern Painting.", reads the description printed on the back.
The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
