(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original vintage C. T. Art-Colortone linen postcard from the 1950s. It shows a view of TVA's Shawnee Steam Plant near Paducah, Kentucky.

"These 10 stacks, one from each generating unit, tower 250 feet above the ground at Shawnee Steam Plant, which is being built by the Tennessee Valley Authority near Paducah, KY. This $216,000,000 power plant, one of the largest in the world, will generate 1,500,000 kilowatts, part of the power requirements of the new billion dollar Atomic Energy Plant, also near Paducah. Construction of both plants was begun in January 1951, with completion scheduled for late 1955.", reads the description printed on the back. 

The postcard is unused and is in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges.
