(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique Western Novelty Company Inc., No. 3 postcard from the 1910s. It shows a view of Historic Starved Rock as seen from the Hotel grounds in La Salle County, Illinois.

"Monday Afternoon. Dear Cousin: Got home at last and it seems kind of good to go to work again. Will soon have things in running order again. Found things as good as we expected. One of the drivers bruised her foot and the boys had to have the horse doctor for her. He was here today and thought she would get alright. ~Carrie", reads the note written on the back. Addressed to "Mrs. Nellie Davis - Newton, Kansas - Davis' Novelty Store".

The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
