Bound to Occur ( A Cur ) - English Boxer Dog - Visual Pun - Postcard, c. 1900s
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique postcard from the 1900s. It shows an English Boxer dog tied to an empty can of tomato soup, "Bound to Occur (A Cur)". A "Cur" is an aggressive dog or one that is in poor condition, especially a mongrel.
"Cheer up - some day I will write- that is when I get of working day. again which won't be for a couple months as yet. That is not long when you have lots of time...", reads part of the message written on the back.
The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, a few minor creases, general stains.
