(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique Decoration Day Series No. 5 embossed postcard from the 1900s. It shows a view of George Washington's Tomb in Mount Vernon, VA and a red, white and blue striped ribbon, "IN MEMORIAM To Our Dead Patriots".

"Ice Cream Social tonight- Be sure and come. Mrs. Reetz", reads the message written on the back.

The postcard is used and is in GOOD condition, heavy wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, a few light creases and stains.
