(3 1/8 x 4 1/8 In) This is a SET of THREE original antique tintype photographs from the 1800s. This haunting trio of post-mortem portraits show a little Victorian boy laid out in his open casket, cradled in his father's arms and propped on a pillow in a rocking chair looking as if he were sleeping. The name "Donald" is penciled on the back of one of the paper folders. The portraits were all taken by photographer E. J. West of Chestnut Ridge, N.C. "E. J. West & Co. Traveling Artists, Chestnut Ridge, Yadkin Co., N.C." is stamped on the paper folders.

The photos are in VERY GOOD condition, a few scuffs and scratches, some paper pulp stuck to tintype finish, minor stains and wear to paper frames.
