(2 1/2 x 4 1/8 In) This is a SET of TWO original antique carte de visite photographs from the 1800s. A handsome Victorian couple's pair of memorial portraits bordered in black. She is looking beautiful and pious in her crocheted shawl and rosary necklace. He is looking stoic and handsome in his carefully groomed mutton chop beard, proudly showing off his Oddfellows triple links tie pin. The portraits were taken by photographer W. J. Newell at 283 Essex St. in Lawrence, Massachusetts. 

The photos are in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges.
