(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique F. E. Augerson & Co. real photo postcard from 1908. It shows a view of the blazing fire that destroyed the upper two floors of the Holmes Building on the afternoon of Dec. 15th, 1908 at the corners of Main and Prairie Streets in Galesburg, Illinois.

"Dear Buzz, You see by the other side of this that we have had a fire. No one but the very badley, the life story burned off every one had to move out. I think that table set would be nice for something new. I would like one too. I wish every day you would come, I am so busy night + day, I can't get anything made for Xmas. Your Loving, Suss.", reds the message written on the back. (to the best I can make out)

The photo is in GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, a few creases, general stains, light contrast, slivering.
