We're Afraid to Go Home in the Dark - V. Colby - Postcard, c. 1909


(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique V. Colby postcard from 1909. It shows a puppy and kitten leaning on each other for support under a crescent moon, "We're afraid to go home in the dark."

 "Dear Babe:- How are you folks getting along? You ought to see our girl, maybe we could trade her for Millie or Bruno. How would you like that? She has a new baby buggy. She can cry pretty loud. You must write to us. With Love, F. L. E.  ~Minnie Shay has a 9# boy born Tues. Lou weighs 11# now", reads the message written on the back. 

The postcard is used and is in GOOD condition, heavy wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, minor general stains, crease at bottom right corner.
