Abraham Lincoln, The Martyred President - Postcard, c. 1908
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique embossed E. Nash, Lincoln's Birthday Series No. 1 postcard from 1908. It shows a Patriotic montage of Lincoln portraits and American flags, "Lincoln Centennial Souvenir 1809 ~ 1909".
"ABRAHAM LINCOLN The Martyred President. - "The Brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated far above our poor power to add or detract." - A. Lincoln. (Immortalized by an oration on the occasion of the dedication of the National Cemetery at Gettysburg the field of the most sanguinary conflict of the Civil War a struggle which decided the supremacy of the National Government."
The postcard is unused and is in EXCELLENT condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
