(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique The Rose Company, Kathleen Mathew undivided-back postcard from 1906. It shows four tiny sketches of scenes in Brooklyn, NY and a poem:

"Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder", 
I've seen the Flat-Iron, I've seen the Subway,
The Bowery, the Park and the Zoo--
But Nothing I see can quite compensate Me
For the Fact that I do not see You, My Friend,
For the Fact that I do not see You!"

 

The postcard is used and is in FAIR condition, heavy wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, general stains and creases, 1/4 In. tear near center of top edge.
