(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Dade County Newsdealers Supply Co. linen postcard from the 1940s. It shows a purple orchid, "An Orchid to You from Florida".

"Florida has several varieties of Orchids that grow wild in the Hammock Lands of the Everglades, because the climate is entirely suitable to the cultivation of these plants. There is a rare collection of Orchards at Mead Botanical Gardens, where this picture was taken."

The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, writing on the back, minor postmark ink transfer on the front.
