Bartholdi's Statue of Liberty - New York Harbor - Postcard, c. 1910s
(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique postcard from the 1910s. It shows a view of "Bartholdi's Statue of Liberty, New York Harbor. - Stands on Bedloe's Island, 1 3/4 miles southwest of the Battery. Is the largest statue in the world, made of hammered plates of copper, and is 150 feet in height and stands upon a pedestal 155 feet high. It was designed and constructed by Auguste Bartholdi, a French Sculptor."
The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, a few minor stains.
