(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique S. Gaere postcard copyrighted 1906. It shows a portrait of President George Washington atop his white horse, "First in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen."

"Feb. 17, 1912- Do not intend to send these until Mon. but it will write some now. Went to court and heard the last of a trial. One fellow bit another's ear. The jury was out only 10 or 15 minutes and gave verdict of not guilty. Got through early and will not have anything else until Mon. I like to hear the trials so well. Sunday, I went to church + S. S. nobody else from here went. Were 504 at S. S.  collection of $10.75. Ethel", reads the note written on the back.

The postcard is Used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, album marks at corners, a few small bits of image loss.
