(5 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique "Language Of Flowers" postcard from 1908. It shows a bouquet of Harebells, Wild Roses and Silver Bells or Lily of the Valley painted by artist J. Leslie Melville. Words by C. Preston-Wynne.

"The "Grief" that clouds your days with sorrow stern
The harebell rings-- in sad and plaintive strain;
These Lillies wish your "Happiness' Return"
The wild rose tells of "Pleasure after Pain".

"Dear Grand Pa, I hope this post card will find you all right. With best wishes and Regards to Grandpa from Edna", reads the note written on the back.

The postcard is used and is in GOOD condition, heavy wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, some stains on back side.
