(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Capitol News Co. linen postcard from the 1930s. It shows a view of the Parthenon and Lake Centennial Park in Nashville, Tennessee.

"Lake Watauga lies at the foot of the beautiful terrace in Centennial Park which is crowned by the classic Parthenon said to be a perfect replica of the famous Parthenon of ancient Greece. The lake was named in honor of the first settlers of Tennessee, who were known as the Watauga or Cumberland settlers. They came to Tennessee in 1769, before the State was admitted to the Union.", reads the description printed on the back.

The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
