(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Richmond News Company, Tichnor Quality View linen postcard from the 1930s. It shows a view of the Statue of Robert E. Lee Monument and Allen Avenues in Richmond, Virginia.
"This statue of the General in Chief of the Confederate Armies, by Antoine Mercie, was drawn by ropes, by citizens to this spot, and unveiled before 100,000 people in 1890."
The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, a few minor stains.
