(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is a SET of THREE original antique, hand tinted real photo postcards from the 1910s. Each shows a French couple in a romantic tableau. "Dans vos yeux je voudrais Lire ma destinée" (In your eyes I would like to read my destiny). "Ou Je M'attache Je meurs" (Where I am attached I am dying). "Baiser d'Amour" (Kiss of Love).
"Dearest Violet, I am sending this card while waiting for your letter, which I expect is delayed in the post. I sincerely hope you are quite well dear and happy. I am very well myself but anxiously awaiting your letter little girl. I will write tomorrow dear if yours arrives or not. Cheer up sweetheart, and keep well, there's a dear. Fond Love from Paul", reads the message written on the back of the first card.
"Dearest Violet, First a card to acknowledge the very pretty one you send me dear. I am sorry little girl that I have not time for a letter tonight but will write tomorrow. You will excuse me this once won't you sweetheart. I am pleased the parcel reached you safely dear. I hope you are well and happy darling. I am quite well myself. Cheer up sweetheart, there's a dear, Au revoir. Love from yours alone, Paul.", reads the message written on the back of the second.
The message written on the back of the third is in French. The photos are in GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, a few minor stains and creases, album marks at corners, foxing on the backs.
