Bound to Occur ( A Cur ) - English Boxer Dog - Visual Pun - Postcard, c. 1900s
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique postcard from the 1900s. It shows an English Boxer dog tied to an empty can of tomato soup, "Bound to Occur (A Cur)". A "Cur" is an aggressive dog or one that is in poor condition, especially a mongrel.
"Hello Charlie - are you able to play BB as well as ever - They have started baseball down here - wish I could play but I guess my wish cuts me out from that for good. Have you started yet? - ED", reads the message written on the back.
The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, a few minor creases, general stains.
