I'm So Sorry You're Sick - Postcard, c. 1920s
(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique L. F. Pease postcard from the 1920s. It shows a brown glass jar full of flowers, "I'm so sorry you're sick, you that I'm sure. And I only regret that I haven't the cure- Which would make you forget the ills you endure - May every day bring you The strength which you need, And your good health return With all possible speed."
"I received the card telling me of your illness. Was glad to hear you was a little better now + hope you will continue to gain. I had been looking for a card telling me you were coming up again for that visit in June you promised me. Best Wishes from all Mrs. Tripp. -- Hope you will be able to come for the visit a little later. Write again Mr. Purdy.", reads the note written on the back.
The postcard is used and is in GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
