(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is a SET of FOUR Theodor Eismann, Illustrated Song Series postcards from the 1900s. They show illustrated lyrics for two verses from the song, "NO WEDDING BELLS FOR ME", music by: Seymour Furth / Lyrics: E.P. Moran & Will A. Heelan.

"My friend said: "Batch, come dine with me, my wife's a splendid cook"
When Missis Sauer saw me, she just gave his nibs a look

A dozen kids began to shout while at the table there,
The baby took some sauerkraut and rubb'd it in my hair

No wedding bells for me, I'm as happy as can be
Tempt me not with trial marriage, I'll not push a baby carriage;

Gee Whiz! I'm glad I'm free; no wedding bells for me.--"

A message is written across the backs of the four postcards:
"Hello Dearest: I have arranged things all fine and have a rig. Will get up as early as possible. Note the other side of this. That is my idea of a life of happiness and bliss. Will see you tomorrow evening without fail. From the Swelled Head Kid "Ha Ha HA".

The postcards are in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, general stains and a few minor creases.
