To Wish You a Happy New Year - Blessings of the Season - SET of 2 - Postcards, c. 1910s
(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is a SET of TWO original antique embossed postcards from the 1910s. Two versions of the same card printed by different publishers, one showing a sunset winter scene and the other a night scene, both on a scroll sealed with a clover wax seal and a blue ribbon, "To wish you a Happy New Year - May this find you enjoying the blessings of the Season."
"My Dear Rachel: Received your card some time ago and was delighted to hear from you. but have been so busy with Xmas + also spent a few days in Ann Arbor with my brother that I have neglected answering. How are you anyway? I so much wish you could come to Cass + see me even if for only a few days. With lots of love, Cecilia Wright", reads the note written on the back of one card.
The postcards are used and are in GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, writing on the backs, a few minor stains.
