(2 1/8 x 3 1/8 In) This is an original antique Piso's Cure for Consumption advertising booklet from 1899. Piso's Cure was complete medical quackery, a cough "medicine" that was made with Cannabis, Chloroform and alcohol. "Safe for Babies - They like it". The cover shows the music for the National Anthem, complete lyrics and music on the inside.

I have used Piso's Cure for Consumption for colds, and found it a splendid medicine, as ir gives instant and (when taken according to directions) lasting relief, and I would recommend it to all who are so troubled. --R. J. Coyne, Directory Department of Chicago Post Office, April 7th, 1899."

"There's no opium, nor any thing that is derived from opium, in Piso's cure for Consumption. It is safe, certain and pleasant medicine. Dose small, bottle large."

The booklet is in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at edges.
