(5 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique "Language Of Flowers" postcard from 1900s. It shows a bouquet of Harebells, Wild Roses and Silver Bells or Lily of the Valley painted by artist J. Leslie Melville. Words by C. Preston-Wynne.

"The "Grief" that clouds your days with sorrow stern
The harebell rings-- in sad and plaintive strain;
These Lillies wish your "Happiness' Return"
The wild rose tells of "Pleasure after Pain".

The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
