Victorian Child With Deformed Hand - Symbrachydactyly - Tintype Photo, c. 1800s
(2 1/4 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique tintype photograph from the 1800s. It shows a precocious Victorian child posing with a leather ball next to their hand which was deformed since birth by Symbrachydactyly. I love their winged hair and sassy expression, they look so excited to have their picture taken.
The photo is in VERY GOOD condition, unevenly trimmed, crazing in finish, a few small spots of image loss, a few minor bends and scratches.
