California Orange Groves- 1910s Antique Postcards- SET of 2- Pasadena, CA- Irrigation- Farming- Edwardian Souvenir- Paper Ephemera
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is a SET of TWO original antique postcards (Pacific Novelty Co. and Edward H. Mitchell) from the 1910s-20s. Both cards show a view of a California Orange grove. The first, "Irrigating a California Orange Grove" and the second, "Picking Oranges, Pasadena, California".
"Reedly, Calif. July-19-1912- Dear Ella:- Rec'd your card. Was greatly shocked to hear of Jim's death. We feel sorry for Adelaide and all of you. You have our sympathy. Hope Aunt's cough is better by this time. Mama is looking for a letter from Aunt. Her rheumatism is much better. We bought interest in a Garage. Hope you are well as this leaves us. We like it fine here. Regards from all. Minnie.", reads the message written on the back of one card.
The postcards are used and are in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, minor stains.
