Case for the S.P.C.A. - Charles Dana Gibson - Postcard, c. 1901
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique undivided back postcard published by the Detroit Publishing Co. and copyrighted 1901 by Life Pub. Co. It shows a sketch of an Edwardian couple sitting glumly on a beach as their little dog waits nearby, "IS THIS A CASE FOR THE S. P. C. A.? It is now 6:45 P.M., and this dog has been kept here since 10 this morning." Signed by American artist Charles Dana Gibson.
The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, light wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, slight discoloration at one corner.
