(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique R. & R. News Co., C. T. Art-Colortone postcard from the 1920s. It shows a view of the marble grave marker of Mrs. Woodrow Wilson in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Rome, Georgia.

"SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF ELLEN LOUISE AXSON- Beloved Wife Of Woodrow Wilson- Born 15 May, 1860 at Savannah Georgia- Died 6 August, 1914 at Washington, DC- A Traveler between life and death- the reason firm the temperate will- Endurance foresight strength and skill- A Perfect woman nobly planned- To warn to comfort and command- And yet a spirit still and bright with something of angelic light", reads the inscription on the tombstone.

"By an odd coincidence the grave of the Known Soldier of World War and the grave of the first Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, wife of the war time president, are both in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Rome, Georgia. Mrs. Wilson, the former Ellen Lou Axson, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Samuel Edward Axson, of Rome, is buried in the Axson family lot, beside her distinguished brother, Dr. Stockton Axson.", reads the description printed on the back.

The postcard is unused and is in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges.
