On The Firing Line- 1910s Antique Postcard- Aiming to Shoot You- Cupid's Rifle- Edwardian Valentine- Art Comic- S Bergman- Used
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique S. Bergman postcard from the 1910s. It shows a worried Cupid whose bow and arrows have been upgraded to a rifle. "On The Firing Line.", seems like a strange theme for a Valentine but I guess it seemed apropos in 1917.
"ON THE FIRING LINE.
I've been aiming to shoot you
a wish for good luck,
Here's hoping you win out-
and keep up your pluck."
The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
