Riley Roses - Cobb Shinn - Postcard, 1907
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique Import Post Card Co. "Riley's Neighborly Poems" series postcard copyrighted by The Scofield-Pierson Co. in 1907. It shows a portrait of James Whitcomb Riley signed by artist Cobb Shinn, "Riley Roses".
"My own Julia- Don't think I've forgotten you but have been busy. Will write later. Write to me - some card rec'd and had a good laugh over there- especially Burt & J. Me, to Jack Eva Hazel and All - Mary", reads the note written on the back.
The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, a few small creases.
