The Amateur- 1900s Antique Postcard- Edwardian Motorist- Automobile Accident- Artist Signed- C Ryan- Angry Wife- Art Comic- Used
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique artist signed C. Ryan postcard from the 1900s. It shows an Edwardian motorist who has driven his automobile off of a bridge landing in the river on his first joyride, "The Amateur". Something about the expression on him and his wife tells me he won't ever live down this "I Told You So".
"Dear Jim- If send my panama hat to you in Omaha will you get it reblocked for me. Let me know right away so I can send it to you and get it back by July 1st. Mabel", reads the message written on the back.
The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, minor stains on the back.
