(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique AZO paper real photo postcard from the 1910s. It shows the splintered ruins of "Burt Higgens" home torn apart by a tornado. A family can be seen at the far right sitting on a pile of belongings where their home used to be.
"This is Jase Slongh's home where Bert Higgens lived. Saturday Morn- Dearest Children- I have been to the Cha___ the last 2 day- not very big crowd yet. Am not going again until next week- will write yen a letter soon. Am so worried about Boyd- if he gets fed- be sure and let us know. Hope I hear from him today- got a letter from Mrs. Tichirt- also Basa- now I'll send you Jase Slongh home.", reads the note written on the back.
The photo is in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges.
