Arbor Vitae Tree - Natural Bridge, Virginia - Postcard, c. 1940s

(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Marken & Bielfeld Inc. linen postcard from the 1940s. It shows an Arbor Vitae Tree, Estimated Age 1000 Years at Natural Bridge, Virginia. 

"THE NATURAL BRIDGE OF VIRGINIA  is located in Rockbridge County a few miles to the west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Length of bridge 90 feet; width averages 100 feet; height 215 feet; 40 feet thick. Granted from George III on July 5, 1774, to Thomas Jefferson, 157 acres, which included the bridge on Cedar Creek which flows under it.", reads the description printed on the back.

The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
