(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique Gerson Bros. postcard from the 1910s. It shows a view of the "Bear Pits" at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, Illinois.

"LINCOLN PARK, CHICAGO. Lincoln Park is located on the north side, being the largest in Chicago. The total area is 600 acres, the water surface alone comprising 140 acres. It extends along the lake front from North Avenue. Near the center of the Park is the Zoo, containing 2300 specimens of animals, reptiles and birds. At the Dearborn Street entrance is located the St. Gaudens bronze statue of Abraham Lincoln, which is regarded as the best likeness of the War President in existence.", reads the description printed on the back.

The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, some stains on the back.
