(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Virginia Gift Shop, Metropolitan linen postcard from the 1940s. It shows a view of the John Smith Memorial "Where First English Colonist Landed" near Cape Henry, Virginia Beach, Virginia. 

"Memorial erected to Captain John Smith and the Jamestown Settlers who first landed at Cape Henry, near Virginia Beach, Va. April 26, 1607.", reads the description printed on the back. 

"Hi there - Down here for a few days of our vacation - having a nice trip. Tom + Pat", reads the message written on the back. 

The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
