(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Richmond News Company, Tichnor Quality Views linen postcard from the 1940s. It shows a view of the Edgar Allen Poe Shrine in Richmond, Virginia. 

"The oldest building in Richmond, Va., erected about 1685. Said to ____ Washington's headquarter's and that both he and Lafayette were entertained in the building. Gardens, houses, many manuscripts, relics and much data are associated with the work of Poe who ____ in this vicinity.", reads the description printed on the back. 

The postcard is unused and is in GOOD condition, wear at the edges, black scrapbook paper stuck to backside corners.
