(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Marken & Bielfeld Inc. linen postcard from the 1930s. It shows a view of the Statues of Generals Buford and Reynolds and Hall's Second Maine Battery in Gettysburg, PA. 

"Located on the north side of the Lincoln Highway at the western approach to Gettysburg are these three memorials. They stand on McPherson's Ridge and where the great battle opened, July 1st, 1863. At the base of the monument to General Buford, in the foreground, is the cannon from which was fired the first shot of the battle. General Reynolds was killed early in the engagement.", reads the description printed on the back. 

"Here Aug. 16. '37", is written on the back in pencil. 

The postcard is used and is in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges.
