Wheat Crop Transportation - Turner, KS - Postcard, c. 1940s
(5 1/2 x 3 1/4 In) This is an original vintage Kansas Industrial Development Commission postcard from the 1940s. It shows "A view of the transportation facilities required to move a small portion of one Kansas wheat crop. The Kansas average yearly production approaches 150 million bushels, almost twice that of any other state. These cars are in the yards of the world's largest wheat storage elevator at Turner, Kansas. Feeding a nation at war is big business in Kansas."
The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
