(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original vintage German made E. Nister postcard from the 1900s. It depicts the Medieval punishment for a "Bad Wife", public shaming with a heavy wooden mask on her head and a "Hausdrache" sign hung around her neck. The "Hausdrache" or "House Dragon" was a Medieval term for a shrewd and domineering housewife. Signed by artist Adolf Jodolfi.

The postcard is unused and is in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges, light album wear at corners.
