Infernal Infants - Hand Painted Full Plate Tintype, c. 1800s
(6 1/4 x 8 1/2 In) This is an original hand painted antique tintype photograph from the 1800s. It shows a grumpy pair of Victorian babies posed in matching white gingham christening gowns. Lovely hand painted details have been added to their gowns and background, which has been painted in a way that looks to me like a bassinet made of flames. Scans don't do justice to this captivating image.
The photo is in VERY GOOD condition, a few minor bends, especially at corners.
