Battle of Lake George Monument - Sept. 8, 1755 - Lake George, NY - Postcard, c. 1910s

(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique C. W. Hughes postcard from the 1910s. It shows a view of the monument erected at Lake George, New York in commemoration of the Battle of Lake George, Sept. 8, 1755.

"Dear Sis - was surprised when I got your card that ___ was up their I will write to night and send your picture - Our brown is the same - how long are you going to be their 0 everything is about the same here - Uncle Fred is well I guess - don't know how happy we are - all pretty well - How were Bert's folks - write me often won't you - a few lines each day - I wished you was here - I miss you - I'm lonesome - good bye - write soon, from your sis Flora.- Hurry in going to take this down this morn.", reads the note written on the back. 

The postcard is used and is in GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, minor stains and creases.
