(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique UNCO, Empire Art Series postcard from the 1900s. It shows a view of the Fort Dearborn Massacre Monument at 18th & Calumet in Chicago, Illinois. 

"FORT DEARBORN MASSACRE MONUMENT, CHICAGO. - Fort Dearborn monument is a beautiful work of sculpture, erected on the spot where the garrison of Fort Dearborn was attacked by the Indians. It is located at 18th Street and Calumet Avenue. The main picture represents Chief Black Partridge, protecting Mrs. Helm on the day of the historical Fort Dearborn massacre, August 15th, 1812. It was erected by the late George M. Pullman, near whose residence it stands.", reads the description printed on the back. 

The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, light wear at the edges.
