(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original SET of THREE vintage postcards from the 1940s. Each shows a different exhibit at the Chicago Museum of Science & Industry, the "Foundry", "Coal Mine Train" and "Coal Mine Hoist".

"FOUNDRY - Molten iron pours from the tilted electric furnace in the museum's working Foundry to be cast into machine parts and souvenirs."

"COAL MINE HOIST AND HEAD FRAME - This massive surface equipment is designed to hoist 3,000 tons of coal daily from a 500 ft. depth. Here is raises and lowers the mine cage between the surface and the shaft bottom."

"MINE TRAIN - This mine locomotive and train carries visitors from the shaft bottom to the working face of the underground Coal Mine where heavy mining machinery is seen in action."

The postcards are Unused and are all in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges, a few minor stains.
