We're Out Here in Western Colorado - A Travel Card - Postcard, c. 1950s
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage C. T. Art-Colortone, Sanborn Souvenir Co. linen postcard from the 1950s. It shows a souvenir greeting from Colorado.
"A TRAVEL CARD - Howdy ____, We're out here in WESTERN COLORADO, an empire of giants- giant mountains - Giant Canyons and Waterfalls - Giant Mesas and giant resources. It is a paradise for the fisherman and hunter, a mecca for the nature lover and tourist, and a treasure house of minerals including oil shale and uranium. Not being a mountain sheep we can't see near all of it but we're doing all we can and will have lots to tell about if we ever get back home. Yours, ____.", reads the letter printed on the front.
The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
