(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique embossed postcard from 1909. It shows a beautifully embossed hot air balloon taking off on the first sunrise of 1909 with a basket full of Forget-me-not flowers, "A Happy New Year". The shriveled balloon of 1908 lays in the sea below.
The name "Frank" is written on the back. The postcard is in VERY GOOD condition, heavy wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
