(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is a SET of TWO original vintage The Colonial Park Company, Inc., C. T. Art-Colortone postcards from the 1940s. "The Swan Tavern" and "Grace Episcopal Church" in Yorktown, Virginia.
"THE SWAN TAVERN, reconstructed on original foundations by the National Park Service. The first tavern, built between 1719 and 1722, was a leading Virginia hostelry until destroyed by the explosion of a powder magazine in 1863."
"GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH, erected about 1697 of native marl. Among the graves in the churchyard is that of Thomas Nelson Jr., a signer of the Declaration of Independence and a Governor of Virginia during the Revolution."
The postcards are unused and are in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
