(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage linen E. C. Kropp postcard from the 1940s. It shows an interior view of the Lansdowne Plantation in Natchez, Mississippi.

"Built by Geo. M. Marshall I in 1852; still owned and occupied by his descendants, Mrs. Jas. H. Ward and Geo. M. Marshall and family. Contains original furnishings of mahogany and French rosewood, French hand-blocked wallpaper, Abusson carpet, gold cornices, brocatelles and bronze chandeliers. Many lovely paintings, including portrait of Levin R. Marshall by Sully, original set of apricot-banded china (partly destroyed during Civil War), coin silver goblets, handsome silver and many other rare pieces of interest.", reads the description printed on the back.

The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, minor stains on the back.
