(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique Tichnor Quality Views, Rose City News postcard from the 1920s. It shows a view of the "Coming of the White Man Statue" at the City Park in Portland, Oregon.
"Coming of the White Man Statue represents Chief Multnomah and one of his young warriors watching for the coming of Lewis and Clark through the Columbia River Gap. Chief Multnomah symbolizes all that is dignified and noble in the Red Man. Statue was unveiled in Portland, Oregon, Oct. 6. 1904. Erected by the children of D. P. Thompson who was a pioneer. Sculptor McNeil.", reads the description printed on the back.
The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
