(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Western Publishing & Novelty Co. postcard from the 1930s. It shows a view of flower bordered walks and drives in Elysian Park, Los Angeles, California.
"FLOWER BORDERED WALKS AND DRIVES, ELYSIAN PARK, LOS ANGELES, CAL. - A Beautiful spot overlooking the city, containing about 548 acres, which while still in its natural state of trees, underbrush and interesting trails, affords one of the most interesting drives for the autoist winding throughout the hills, overlooking the surrounding country.", reads the description printed on the back.
"2/21/20 - Los Angeles, Cala. - Dear Friend Wake. I am having the time of my life and ____ with my brother. This home out looks Hollywood. Say I have been asleep for 45 years. You just aught to see this ___ if I had ___ Trunk her is what I. J. D. Bark.", reads the message written on the back, as best I can make out.
The postcard is used and is in GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, a few minor stains.
