(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is a SET of THREE original antique postcards from the 1910s. Each is a greeting that uses a Vine of Ivy to symbolize close and ever enduring friendship.

"FRIENDSHIP like the Ivy clings Close, whatever Fortune brings"

"I CLING Saith the Ivy, whatever may befall
I cling thro' all time, Bravo! said the wall;
Like the Ivy and wall then
let us both endevour,
To let the years find us
still clinging TOGETHER."

"Just as the IVY to the tree, Cling to me and I'll CLING TO THEE."

"I will try + write a letter to you soon. Have been so very busy. Have 62 young Turkeys and about 470 chickens. I was at children's Day Exercises at Sweetwater this afternoon. Saw Lauren Hughes, she said she had written you a short time ago. We are all well but Grandpa was not very well last week. They were out visiting at Aunt Ona's. Our Children's Day Exercises ere this morning. This has been our first Summer Sunday, It seems like we have had so many bad Sun. Mildred.", reads the message written on the back of one card.
